Shinjuku!

So we have booked our accommodation for Japan, we will be staying at the Ace Inn in Shinjuku. Apparently Shinjuku is a pretty happening place in Tokyo which is great however the Japanese Mafia (Yakuza) are known for their presence in the east of Shinjuku in the Red Light District ha ha. Only about 4 months to go now :)

Trip Itinerary.

So we drafted a rough itinerary of where we will be at what time etc. Obviously things will change along the way and flights will be delayed, some destinations wont be that great so we will leave early etc but this is the rough plan. This way people will know whereabouts we will be at what time. Manda's having her birthday in Paris and Holly is having her birthday in Montreal, how exciting!

Travel Blog.

Hello there!

If you are reading this then you are either a friend or family member of Holly or Amanda. We have set up this blog so that we can post updates and photos of our travels throughout the world during the months of May till October 2010. This way our friends and family can keep up to date with what we are up to by checking the blog opposed to sending a billion emails to everyone each week.

We are leaving Melbourne on May 6th at 7:30 pm and our first stop will be Japan. We then head to England - Scotland - Ireland - The Netherlands - Belgium - France - Spain - Italy - Greece - Croatia - Turkey - Czech Republic - Germany - Norway - Sweden - Finland. We then fly out of Finland in early September to New York - Canada - Los Angeles - Las Vegas and then finally returning home in early October.

There may be alterations to our trip along the way as there are other places we wanted to factor in if possible, therefore we will keep those details updated on the blog. During the months of June, July and August we will be attending the following festivals;

-Wacken Open Air (Germany).
-Summerbreeze (Germany).
-Party San Open Air (Germany).
-Hellfest (France).
-Hole in the Sky (Norway).

so expect some updates on those :)

We will be messing around with the blog over the next couple of months just to try and figure out all the features and how it works etc. I am posting a photo of Manda and myself at the end of this blog just so I can check that it works properly.
